Successful Unwind Tension Control Upgrade

Sareltech recently completed a very successful unwind tension control upgrade at one of our customers.

The laminator had very outdated system and erratic pneumatic  tension control and we were asked by  the customer to quote on a replacement system.

We decided to replace the old system with a modern turnkey solution and it turned out perfectly.

The 2 sets of unwinds were fitted with a pair of load cells as tension feedback. We used state of the art magnetic powder brakes as they provide a very smooth and accurate tension on various materials and are maintenance free. The closed loop PID control was done using an off the shelf Digital Controller that allows the operator to set the desired tension set point and read the actual tension in kg tension on the production material.

We have done several projects of this kind using the same controllers and brakes but used either load cells or a dancer as feedback sensors.

This solution is very reliable, accurate , maintenance free and easy to operate. We have fitted these systems to Business form machines, Extruder Laminators, Laminators and Label Presses.

The exciting prospect is that BST  International will soon supply these same components under their brand name.

It is with great pleasure to announce that Sareltech has officially settled into our new business premises!

After nearly bursting at our seems, Sareltech would like to inform our customers and suppliers that Sareltech has officially purchased a larger Factory to cope with our fully loaded Work Shop, growing number of Technicians and Management staff.

The decision to expand our capabilities has ensured that Sareltech will enhance our performance and step up a gear for the professional service our customers require.

Sareltech is now trading from unit 25 West End Prime Park in Montague Gardens Cape Town as from the 1^st August 2010. I encourage all to come and visit the Sareltech team at the new premises to see and feel the excitement.

The Sareltech team started the day off with a champagne breakfast to toast to the success and hard work.

Thanks to all that has contributed to our success, we have only warmed up, now for the serious stuff.

Sareltech again spotted the opportunity to install BST.

Whilst our senior technician Benni was as
sisting Nampak Flexible with an electrical problem on their Flexo Technica machine, he found that the machine also had a faulty Fife web guide system. In fact the system had not been working for some time.

After some negotiations with the Production Managers of Nampak Flexible we were given the go ahead to do what we do best.

Sareltech took this opportunity to rip out the Dead Fife system and replace it with the very user friendly BST EKR500 Plus Controller, Electric Motor Powered Actuator and Ultrasonic Sensor.

The phenomenal Ultrasonic Sensor operates with any material types, including the finest micron Clear material.

The machine operators have been trained to use the BST system and are producing outstanding end results like never before.

BST has again impressed our customer enough to open another door for a Future BST Project for their Keifel Extruder.

Web Inspection for Reaching New Heights

· POWERScope 4000 is operated via removable keyboard which can be rotated for optimum positioning on the camera unit as well as on the controller.
